Bill Radvak, BASc – President, CEO and Director

Bill Radvak joined American Vanadium as President and CEO in January, 2010. He spearheaded the company’s transition from a mineral exploration company into a vertically integrated energy storage company with the execution of the Master Sales Agreement for North America with Gildemeister to market the world’s leading CellCube vanadium redox flow energy storage system.  At American Vanadium, he guided the Gibellini Project in Nevada through a positive feasibility study and into the environmental permitting process.

Bill Radvak received a Mining and Mineral Process Engineering Degree (1986) from the University of British Columbia. Previously, he was a Founder and CEO of Response Biomedical, a publicly listed medical device company. Mr. Radvak led Response Biomedical from its evolution to a 90-employee, sales and manufacturing company.

Brian Beck – Director of Sales

Brian received his education in Britain and is a chartered engineer. He gained extensive management experience with Holec N.V., a major European manufacturing electrical engineering company, culminating as the CEO of its U.K. group of companies. He has been actively involved since 1991 in many aspects of the restructuring of the North American electricity supply industry. During his time in USA he has held executive positions with companies such as Howell Power Systems, PacifiCorp Energy Services, and Caterpillar Energy Solutions.

John Downes – Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Downes is a Certified Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant, and also has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria. Mr. Downes has 15 years of management and accounting experience in the natural resource and financial services sectors. In addition to serving as the Chief Financial Officer for American Vanadium Corp., he currently serves as CFO for Kobex Capital Corp., American Vanadium Corp., Knol Resources Corp., Rhyolite Resources Corp., and Marchwell Ventures Ltd. Previously, he was the Manager of Financial Reporting for Sprott Resource Lending Corp. and has held various audit and consulting positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Vancouver and Dublin, Ireland.

Sandra Lee – Corporate Secretary

Ms. Lee has worked in public company management and administration since 1996.  Currently she is the Corporate Secretary for Kobex Capital Corp., American Vanadium Corp., Knol Resources Corp., Rhyolite Resources Corp., and Marchwell Ventures Ltd.  Ms. Lee has been an integral part of the Earlston group of companies for over 20 years and has been Corporate Secretary of numerous publicly traded companies.   Prior to industry experience, Ms. Lee worked as a legal assistant for a number of national law firms in the areas of corporate and securities laws.  Ms. Lee has a Legal Assistant certification from Capilano College and is a Member of the Canadian Society of Corporate Secretaries and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
